Last week we wrote a review of Moon Gym in our series of Health and fitness centers in Udaipur. This week we visited Flex Gym at 58, B Block, OTC Scheme Amba Mata and met the Proprietor/Trainer Mr. Tausif. Before moving further, a small background of Mr. Tausif, He was born and brought up in Madhay Pradesh, learned the art of body building by Mr S.S. Das who won the title of Mr. India in the year 1980-1981, Mr. Das supported him as a teacher and always kept his moral high. He came to Udaipur 5 years back first he worked in Olympia Gym for a short period of 4 months, after that he worked free lance as a Personal Trainer. He opened his Gym in Udaipur in 2006 near Chetak Circle, unfortunately 7 days later it rained heavily and the newly opened gym faced the problem of Water logging. He had to close that but he didn’t surrender to circumstances and again opened it at its present address. Flex Gym is mainly dedicated to the sport of Body Building and is well known for giving Udaipur maximum number of Body Builders and fitness Trainers. Mr. Tausif’s another area of expertise is quick gain of mass without the increase in waist size and quick reduction in weight without any side effects. Many boys and girls come to him 3-4 months prior to their planned wedding and ask him to help them get a good physique and he delivers the result. This is the reason this gym enjoys a good reputation among all the fitness lovers of Udaipur. His proud clientele comprises of many famous personalities of Udaipur like Dr. Zia Ud Din owner of Mewar Dental Clinic, Mr Mayank Singh Panwar owner of Hotel Yatri and Mr. Vikram who owns J.K. Marble. In gym he is assisted by his younger brother Mr. Imran Hussain (Raja) whom he mentored himself. Flex Gym has helped many youngsters pursue their careers in the field of Fitness and Bodybuilding Training who now are employed in different national and International Gym chains. To name a few Mr. Jagmeet Singh (Rana) is working as manager at Gold’s Gym Udaipur, Mr. Surendra, Mr Narendra and Mr. Lokesh work as Personal Trainers at Gold’s. His other students are in Talwalker’s Praveen Gaur is a Premium Trainer while Chetan, Ismail, Wasim and Rehan are Trainers. All mentored by Mr. Tausif, feel grateful to him and look on him for advice as and when they need it. Flex Gym has bagged many prestigious awards also. In recently held Mr Udaipur Competition Virat Panth from Flex won Gold Medal. Virat is also a Gold Medalist in Kick Boxing. Mr Tausif helped him in strengthening his legs to make him a better kick boxer. The Award for Best Poser this year was won by Lokesh who is again trained at Flex. Mr. Lokesh presently working with Gold’s captured the award of Muscle Man of Udaipur under the Guidance of Mr. Tausif, again Mr. Surendra secured the first position in 55 Kg weight group at this year’s Mr. Udaipur and Second place in entire state of Rajasthan. Gym is open for both genders and timings are 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. in morning and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in evening. For the ladies who feel uncomfortable in working -out with men they are allowed to use the facility in noon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Charges of the gym are quite economical at 400 Rs. per month, 1100 Rs, 2100 Rs, 4000 Rs are quarterly, half yearly and yearly charges respectively.
