Free Dental Check up for Disabled Children

To mark the commencement of the second consecutive year in serving the disabled children, students and faculties of Darshan Dental College and Hospital arranged a free check-up camp for the whole week at the Darshan Dental College campus located at Loyara Village, Udaipur.
Under the Autistic Dental Care (ADC) program, the health check-up started in the year 2011 by Dr. Nagesh Bhatt, Programmer Director.
“Last year our college conducted health check-up for children from various social service organizations like Prayas Sansthan, Narayan Seva Sansthan, etc.” said a college official.
The College is conducting health camps for the special community of underprivileged children, below poverty line, mentally disabled, blind children, orphans, physically disabled, autistic patients, etc.
According to one of the senior students who participated in the camp “We do several tests and check-ups like oral hygiene practices, scaling, filling teeth and general check up of autistic patients. We work towards the benefit of more autistic patients”.
