Arth Diagnostics CEO Dr Arvinder Singh explains the importance of HPLC-based HbA1c testing for accurate diabetes diagnosis at a GAPM meeting in Ahmedabad
Udaipur, Jan 22, 2026 - Dr Arvinder Singh, CEO of Arth Diagnostics and a three-time world record holder, gave a talk at the scientific educational programme organised by the Gujarat Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (GAPM) in Ahmedabad. The event was held in collaboration with the renowned multinational company TransAsia.
In his lecture, titled “The Role of Modern HPLC in the Diagnosis of Diabetes,” Dr Singh highlighted advanced technology and recent research in diabetes diagnostics. He explained that routine blood sugar tests often show significant variations in reports; therefore, the HbA1c test is used to assess the average blood glucose level over the past three months.
Dr Singh pointed out that owing to limitations of conventional HbA1c testing methods, results may sometimes be inaccurate, directly impacting patient treatment. In contrast, HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) technology, based on charge-based separation, measures HbA1c with extremely high accuracy. For this reason, scientists consider HPLC-based HbA1c testing as the gold standard. This enables accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and prevention of long-term complications in diabetes patients.
He also shared that Arth Diagnostics, Udaipur, has been consistently using HPLC-based HbA1c testing, providing diabetes patients across south Rajasthan with international-standard diagnostic services. This initiative by Arth Diagnostics is regarded as a significant step toward precision diagnostics, which is also why the organisation has achieved Double NABH and NABL accreditation.
The pathologists and microbiologists present at the programme appreciated Dr Singh’s scientific insight and strong clinical relevance. The lecture proved to be not just a technical knowledge-sharing session, but also an inspiring discussion shaping the future direction of diabetes diagnosis.
