The Innerwheel Club, Udaipur organized an event at the Government Senior Secondary School, Residency on the topic of Breastfeeding & Health, where Dr. Kamla Kanwrani pointed out the importance of Breastfeeding to female students.

“For an infant, mother’s milk is like elixir, which shields your baby from various diseases”, said Dr. Kanwrani.

She added, “Breastfeeding helps in mental growth of baby and pulls down the child mortality rate.  Mother’s milk is a whole meal for an infant”.

Madhu Sood, President of the Club welcomed the guests and Shankuntla Dhakad, Secretary, led the event.

Prior to this event, the Club Members also visited Panadhay Hospital and gave a talk on the importance of breastfeeding to women there and also distributed flyers.

Rally on the last day of Breastfeeding Week by Rotary

On the last day of World Breastfeeding Week, Rotary Club Udaipur would organize a rally under the banner of their movement – Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao tomorrow at 8 AM on Devali-Fatehsagar Pal.

Sushil Banthiya, President of Rotary Club informed, “Alok School; Government Senior Secondary School, Bhopalpura and Government Upper Primary School, Devali would be contributing in the rally to make it successfull”.

The concluding program would be organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Kherodiwada at 11.30 AM.
