MB Hospital Gets 6 Digital X-Ray Machines; No More Long Queues for Tests

MB Hospital's acquisition of six advanced digital X-ray machines will reduce waiting time and improve diagnostic quality; Super Specialty Wing gets X-ray facility for the first time

Udaipur, April 17, 2026 - Maharana Bhupal (MB) Hospital, Udaipur, has procured six new advanced digital X-ray machines. The addition of these machines will speed up the diagnostic process and patients will now not have to wait in long queues for X-ray tests. Additionally, diagnostic quality will improve and reports will be available in less time.

As per reports, currently, around 800 to 1000 X-ray tests are conducted daily at MB Hospital. Because of machine shortage, the wait time was long. Hospital Superintendent Dr RL Suman says that the new machines will significantly reduce this pressure.

More importantly, X-ray facilities will also be made available in the Super Specialty Centre thus, eliminating the need to move critically ill patients from one unit to another.

Of the six machines, Trauma Centre will get two, Emergency one, OPD one, Super Specialty one and one more machine to be adjusted to a wing according to requirement.

Additionally, the hospital has also received a portable X-ray machine. This machine will be used to carry out X-rays at the bedside of those patients who are either critically ill or immobile.

Installation work for the new machines has been ongoing in the Trauma Centre and OPD areas for the past 10–12 days. Electrical and tiling work remain which will be completed soon, according to Dr Suman.
