Udaipur, March 28, 2025 - A Wellness Hub for Sickle Cell disease has been established in the Pediatric Department of MB Hospital’s Children’s Hospital. The hub aims to provide better treatment and support for patients suffering from this genetic disorder. The Novo Nordisk Education Foundation Trust has developed this hub. It includes a consultation room, renovated ward, waiting area, play area for children, and resources for digitizing patient data.

Agreement Signed in 2024

Hospital Superintendent Dr. R.L. Suman stated that the agreement was signed in 2024 between Principal Dr. Vipin Mathur and Novo Nordisk. Initially, Rs 13 lakh was allocated for the project, but the trust expanded the work, spending over Rs 25 lakh.

The unit will be inaugurated on Saturday by Tribal Minister Babulal Kharadi. Several dignitaries, including the local MLA, Udaipur Commissioner, TAD Commissioner, and District Collector, will also be present at the event.
