Nationwide Cashless Treatment for Rajasthan Ayushman Beneficiaries
State implements outbound portability after MP Dr Manna Lal Rawat raises issue of Ayushman card holders being denied cashless treatment in Gujarat hospitals
Udaipur, Dec 13, 2025 - The Rajasthan government has taken a major decision to implement outbound portability of Ayushman health card benefits. From December 15, all Ayushman card holders from Rajasthan will be able to receive cashless treatment anywhere in the country, particularly in Gujarat’s empanelled hospitals.
Following a local media report on Rajasthan residents with Ayushman cards not getting benefits in Gujarat hospitals, Udaipur MP Dr Manna Lal Rawat took up the issue with State Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He had written to the CM explaining that people from border districts have depended on Gujarat for medical treatment for years, but Ayushman card holders from Rajasthan were not receiving free treatment there, which pushed patients into financial difficulties. The CM took prompt action and issued the necessary directives to the concerned departments thus allowing the implementation of outbound portability.
