Doctors at MB Hospital can no longer ask mothers to provide packaged/dairy milk to their new born babies in the maternity ward. Not only that, patients and relatives will also not be allowed to bring in packaged/dairy milk to feed the new born babies.

This steps was taken by Health Department to ensure that new born babies are fed only mother milk. Mother Milk bank has also been set up and this will allow mother milk to reach every new born.

Udaipur is one of the 11 districts that have been identified for this purpose. Other districts include Alwar, Chittorgarh, Churu, Bharatpur, Beawar, Bhilwara, Banswara, Boondi, Tonk and Baran.

With this step, it will now be mandatory for all new born babies to only be fed mother milk.
