The Drugs Controller General of India has given the green light to Entod Pharmaceuticals' new eye drops, PresVu. This approval marks a significant advancement in treating Presbyopia.
PresVu is India's first eye drop specifically designed for individuals with Presbyopia. This condition causes difficulty in focusing on nearby objects, a common issue that begins in the early to mid-40s and progresses with age.
The eye drops have already been approved by the Subject Expert Committee of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). They will be available in pharmacies starting October and will require a prescription. Each bottle will cost Rs 350/-.
Manufacturers claim that PresVu will help reduce the need for reading glasses among people with Presbyopia, offering a new solution for this widespread age-related vision issue.
