Pulse polio campaign 2018 begins in Udaipur.
Pulse polio campaign 2018 began on Sunday, 28th January. Around 3.5 lakh children were given anti-polio doses. Children in the age bracket of 0 to 5 years were given doses of medicine. The target is to give this medicine to more than 4 lakh children where 3 lakh 50 thousand were given doses on Sunday itself.
On Monday, the team will go door to door to give polio drops to kids. The same will follow on Wednesday as well. Pulse polio team comprises of 355 surveyors. The campaign of giving polio dosage was carried out on 2887 booths set up in Udaipur district. 132 mobile teams and 132 transit teams are actively carrying out the responsibility of the campaign.
Rotary Club Udai took the responsibility of providing pulse-polio dose in various places like MB Hospital, Central Bus stand and Pahadi Bus stand where 300 children were given the dosage. Scouts and Guides Rajasthan Association also participated in the campaign. Rover-Ranger Scout Guide carried out the programme in Pratapnagar Hospital area. A vehicle rally was also carried out to make the people aware of the pulse-polio campaign.
