Rajasthan Launches Hub-and-Spoke Model; To Offer Free Diagnostics Tests
More than 100 specialised diagnostic tests to be provided free of cost through spoke centres and labs across Rajasthan
Udaipur, Dec 16, 2025 – Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday (December 15) launched the Hub-and-Spoke model under the National Health Mission in the State. Under this model, people will be provided with more than 100 specialised diagnostic tests free of cost, including tests for troponin, cancer markers, biopsy, thalassemia, hepatitis and thyroid, through 400 spoke centres and 11 mother laboratories across the State. This initiative marks a significant step by the government toward making healthcare services more accessible and effective.
CM Sharma also rolled out the Heal in Rajasthan Policy, 2025 during the State-level Aarogya and blood donation camps organised at RUHS Hospital in Jaipur. This policy focuses on promoting medical tourism to provide reliable and affordable healthcare services in the State and make it an affordable medical value travel destination.
The Chief Minister said his government is fully committed to realising its vision of a Healthy Rajasthan with every citizen healthy and fit. He launched the FCM injection campaign to make pregnant women anaemia-free and a free spectacles distribution campaign for students.
Under the Hub-and-Spoke model, units from district hospitals down to the tehsil level are being connected. From sample collection to report generation, all processes will be recorded online, enabling patients to receive their test reports at home. Under this initiative, the number of diagnostic tests at Community Health Centres will increase from 37 to 101, and at Primary Health Centres from 15 to 66.
