The deadly swine flu virus has made a sharp comeback in Udaipur division. 8 cases were reported in MB hospital yesterday including 2 pregnant ladies.

Out of the 8 people admitted for Swine flu case, 5 have already tested positive for the virus. Report for the balance 3 is pending. One of the female brought to the swine flu ward is 9 months pregnant and could deliver a baby anytime.

A complete team of doctors is monitoring status of all swine flu patients on a 24hour basis and there is a special team that has been put on alert for the pregnant lady.

3 of the patients are on oxygen support. Considering the significant rise in patients, MB Hospital has issued a Swine-Flu alert. A 24 hour OPD has been started for screening of patients with flu, throat infection, coughing and high fever.

Over last 27 days, 27 cases have been reported and there have been 2 deaths due to swine flu.
