During a recent review meeting, the district administration showcased increased vigilance regarding increasing temperatures, heatstroke, and seasonal diseases. Conducted on April 16, 2024, the meeting discussed important measures to tackle the challenges presented by seasonal illnesses. A noteworthy decision emerged, indicating that individuals afflicted by such conditions would receive mosquito net beds in the six hospitals associated with RNT Medical College.
However, a current lack of such beds in the medical college's hospitals presents a critical issue. To ensure cooperation with the health department's door-to-door surveys, both the police and municipal corporation have pledged to take action against non-cooperative individuals. Moreover, given the declaration of Malaria and Dengue as serious diseases under the Rajasthan Diseases Epidemic Act, measures will be implemented to eradicate mosquito breeding grounds in residential areas and vacant plots.
Municipal corporations are poised to issue notices and levy fines against landlords who neglect these regulations, while the police will enforce mosquito prevention measures within their jurisdictions.
The Panchayati Raj Department has committed to addressing larvae-related activities on construction sites, reflecting a comprehensive approach to combating disease vectors.
Attendees at the meeting included ADM (City) Rajeev Dwivedi, ADM (Administration) DS Rathore, CEO of the District Council Kirti Rathore, CMHO Dr. Shankarlal Bamaniya, Deputy CMHO Dr. Ankit Jain, and representatives from RNT Medical College.
