Udaipur, May 21,2024: Udaipur, known for its tourism, is also emerging as a major center for medical and nursing education. The city has 6 medical colleges, including a prominent government institution, which is unique in the entire state.
Every year, these colleges give 1125 MBBS graduates and about 625 postgraduate doctors. Additionally, Udaipur is home to 43 nursing colleges, preparing a total of 2070 nursing students annually. This includes 1140 GNM and 930 B.Sc. Nursing students.
RNT Medical College is the oldest in the region. Founded in 1937, it received approval from the Medical Council in 1966. The college includes a super specialty hospital, Maharana Bhupal Hospital (MB Hospital), Pannadhay Government Women’s Hospital, and the district hospital. Students come not only from Rajasthan but also from neighboring states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra to study here.
RNT Medical College college offers 250 MBBS seats, 132 PG MD seats, 56 PG MS seats, 5 DM seats, 6 MCh seats, 2 MSc seats, 50 BSc Nursing seats, 15 MSc Nursing seats, and 50 paramedical seats.
