In a recent District Health Committee meeting held on June 27,2024, officials discussed critical health issues and updates within the medical department. The discussion focussed on seasonal diseases coinciding with the onset of monsoon.
In the meeting it was discussed timely implementation of various government schemes and these should be aligned with governmental and departmental interests. An overview of various departmental activities was done highlighting key initiatives and addressing challenges.
Delays in Issuance of Ayushman Bharat Cards
One medical officer highlighted the delays in issuance of Ayushman Bharat Cards through e-KYC in Jhadol. The need to increase institutional deliveries to reduce home births was also stressed. Concerns were highlighted regarding Udaipur’s performance in free medicine and screening programs.
Ayushman Bharat Card Usage
The Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which includes AB-PMJAY and the Ayushman card, provides annual coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family for secondary and tertiary hospitalization care. The health insurance offered under AB-PMJAY covers a wide range of services, including medical consultations, treatments, pre-hospitalization services, intensive and extensive care, medications, laboratory tests, and more.
Rapid Response Team for Monsoon Diseases
Deputy CMO directed healthcare institutions to establish rapid response teams in preparation for seasonal disease associated with the monsoon. At the end of the meeting it was decided to gather reviews weekly to ensure proper departmental activities.
