Today, 21st June, is the day when the world celebrates two special days. With Yoga to stay fit in the morning hours, music follows the whole day to provide peace to the tensed nerves…basically mental peace.

Music has all the wonders you need to fit for every occasion. Hence the motive behind celebrating this day. In 1982 in France Music festival Fête de la Musique was conceived with the idea of promoting music experts along with preparing variety of musical propagandas on the same platform.

Importance of music

When we are feeling melancholic, music soothes the nerves by letting emotions flow and when we are happy, we start humming. In both the cases, music plays its important role. Because of its healing and soothing properties, music therapy came into being and now is deep rooted. Earlier only our holy books had a mention of music as a great healer, but now the modern healing therapies have also adopted music as one of the healing powers. As per Rigveda, if you chant your deity’s name with music then your deity will bless you by dwelling in your heart.
