Nature lovers are in for a treat on September 11, when the Forest Department is set to organize a one day visit to the Sita Mata Sanctuary under the Environment conservation program.
Dy Conservator of Forests, Suhel Majboor, said that nature lovers can combine jungle trekking while enjoying a glimpse of the flying squirrel, a rare species in this jungle, visible mostly around the Arampura campus at the sanctuary. A visit to the beautiful Jakham Dam is also planned.
The cost of the trip will be Rs 930, which will include a one day trip, travel, breakfast, lunch, tea, entrance fee and guard charges.
