Padmavati movie has invited a lot of controversy. As a result, a stay was put on its release. Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has formed a 6 member committee for the analysis of the movie. The committee consists of historians and members of royal families.

The committee also has a member from Udaipur. As per sources, Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar has been included in the committee made by CBFC for analysing Padmavati-the movie. All the 6 members of the committee will collectively decide whether the film should be released or not after proper discussions on the story created by film maker/director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reportedly there are possibilities of the movie being released in March 2018.

A source from CBFC said that the makers of Padmavati attached a vague application for certification of the movie. The application said that the film is partially based on historical facts. All the angles of the movie will be now discussed by the committee before giving it a green signal for release.
