Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s effigy was burnt today by Advocates of Udaipur who are demanding for a High Court Bench in Udaipur. The Advocates alleged that the CM is not in favour of a High Court bench in Udaipur, in spite of the apparent difficulties being faced by the local public of Mewar and Wagad areas.

A large group of Advocates under the banner of Mewar Wagad High Court Bench Sangarsh Samiti started their protest from the Court campus in the form of a mock condolence march for the CM and thereafter burnt the CM’s effigy at the Court Chouraha.

It has been 7 days since the Advocates from all the districts in the Udaipur division have temporarily shut their works.

Though the Advocates will now start their work from Monday, 19^th August, but will showcase their agitation by protesting over each event held by the Chief Minister in the Udaipur division. They will continue to protest till their demands see the light of day.
