Mohan Lal Sukhadia University’s administration block was shut down by the Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad activists due to results being kept on hold (RL –Result Later), of almost 800 students.
Led by the Central Student’s Union President, today at 11:30 am, students forced the non teaching staff, officials, etc. hold their work and to leave the premises then and there.
According to Pankaj Borana, President, MLSU Student’s Union, “In the past we had already given a 7-day time to the Vice-Chancellor in a Memorandum handed over to him. We had mentioned in the Memo that, around 800 students are suffering adversely because their results are being kept on hold by the University, their marksheet marked with ‘RL’”.
“Due to the delay from University the time for seeking admission in other institutes is running out, ‘RL’ marked results are not accepted by the educational institutions.”, explained Pankaj.
“The registrar has assured us to get the work done by October 8. If he doesn’t keep his promise, ABVP will declare a ‘University Close’ for indefinite tenure”, said, Praveen Singh Asoliya, Vice-President, Central Student’s Union, MLSU.
Present on the scene were Gaurav Lodha, Mahanagar Mantri, ABVP; Jitendra Singh Shaktawat, President, UCCMS, and a huge crowd of ABVP activists.
“I have directed the examination authorities of the University to sort out the issue and it will be done in coming 10 days. I also have talked to the students and assured them their problem will be sorted out soon”, said, L. N. Mantri, Registrar, MLSU.
