Yet another mobile tower has invited protests from residents. A mobile tower outside Maya Mishthan Bhandar has given rise to agitation among residents of Ashok Nagar.

Residents of Ashok Nagar area even informed Commissioner of Municipal Corporation asking him to have the mobile removed from their colony. It may be noted that Ashok Nagar area is one of the busiest areas of Udaipur city and having a tower will cause an obstruction in traffic movement as well. Mobile towers also emit radiations which are extremely harmful for health.

When the cellular company was contacted regarding this issue, they said that they had permission to install the tower in that area. It is absolutely wrong on part of administration to give permissions for mobile towers in densely populated areas.
