As Maggie faces ban, Samples to be collected from Udaipur
The popular ‘two minute’ noodles is facing ban nationwide after failed laboratory tests in Delhi due to high percent of lead and other unsafe materials found in Maggie. While the tests are being conducted in different states Rajasthan acted lackadaisical having taken no such samples from either Jaipur or Udaipur.

Health Minister on Tuesday gave orders to the Health Department to take samples of Maggie for a week and conduct tests. With 11 food inspectors of Medical and Health Department, none were on field in Jaipur. Although samples were collected from Jodhpur and Ajmer 2249 Kg of Maggie was seized from Ajmer.
Food Security Officer Anil Bhardwaj, Udaipur informed that a special drive will be operated from 4th June to 10th June where 5 tests and 2 samples will be taken in the entire district. These tests will be conducted to ascertain if the food samples contain high amount of lead and MSG or not.
