Auto rickshaw drivers had declared to hold a strike in Udaipur on Wednesday. The Auto taxi drivers association did a show-down at Udiapole at 11 a.m. They protested against private cab companies viz. Ola and Uber.

President of Auto drivers association Heera Lal Shrimali and all others present with him at Udiapole have accused private cab companies for running services without permit. Surajpole police SHO Heramb Joshi reached with police patrol to keep a check on situation. Other police officials and members of the auto association discussed the matter of private cab operators. The auto rickshaws started their operations after this meeting with police administration.

On the other hand, Mewar auto rickshaw drivers union also had a meeting at Sukhadia Circle. Each one displayed protest against private cab owners. Another meeting of auto rickshaw drivers with administration will be held today at 1600 hours in Gulab Bagh.

As per reports, auto rickshaw owners are suffering a lot because of private cabs like Ola, Jugnoo and Uber. They have accused these companies of snatching business from them.
