Avoid extravagant expenditure – a message from Nagda Community

Members of Nagda Community in Udaipur have pledged to discontinue the tradition of gifting clothes, utensils, etc on various occasions.

Bhagwan Lal Nagda, Chairperson of the Nagda Community, in his speech at the Mewar Chokhla meeting held on 27th March at Bhaisda Kala village, said that gifting of clothes, utensils, etc by members of the community while celebrating personal occasions, will now be discontinued as this tradition is a waste of money and causes discomfort to financially weaker families in the community.

Taking another message forward, Bhagwan Lal said that if it is noted that certain members of the community are not taking care of their parents or treating them well, the community will not participate in any occasion organized by such.  Construction of hostels to encourage education was another discussion held during the meet.

Participants in the panel discussion included Jagdish Nagda, Gaurishankar Nagda, Bhurilal Nagda, Gangaram Nagda, Ramesh Nagda, Kishen Nagda.
