Bankers Association held a meeting in Gulab Bagh on Thursday. The agenda of this meeting was discussing grievances of bank employees. In the meeting, it was unanimously pointed out that work load of bankers has increased in the past few years.

The most shocking thing that was brought to light was that excessive work load and pressure has forced many bankers to commit suicide in the past. Bankers even said that they are trying their level best to cooperate for implementing policies of government.

The issue that was of prime concern in the meeting was regarding insurance. Bank employees said that they are bankers and insurance is not their work area, but they are pressurised by senior officers to sell insurance to their consumers. Forcing a consumer to buy insurance is practically against his interest. Consumers also get irritated when a bank employee keeps nagging them about insurance policies. Vivek Krishna, Neha Kanwar, Madan Mohan Sharma, Balraj Goswami, RK Pandey and a few others were present in the Bankers Association meeting.
