Bearing three daughters became a curse for a woman who was beaten and ultimately locked out of the house by the arrogant husband. Zera w/o Kezar Hussain narrated her pain to police who did not pay heed to her troubles. She went to Ambamata police station and then to Fatehpura police station but they turned a deaf ear.

Zera hails from Neemuchkheda. Earlier her husband would beat her up even at a minor argument. Later when she threatened that she would inform the police, her husband locked the house in her absence and disappeared. He even switched off his phone.

As per Zera, bearing three daughters became the reason of her husband’s anger. He wanted a son and beat her up usually after arguments. Finally she turned to the representatives of Jatan Sansthan where Om Prakash Gayri helped her.

Before this, she went to the police with her elder daughter. When they did not get any help from police, they searched online for NGOs to seek assistance. Later, the NGO representatives helped her in reaching her parents in Neemuchkheda.

Zera’s elder daughter is 19 years old and also a brilliant student. After graduation, she took admission in Law College. Younger daughter is 14 years of age and she, too, is good in academics. In spite of such good daughters, Kezar still wants a son for he believes that only a son can carry forward his name.
