Alleging forged and illicit arrangement of paid-parking in MB Hospital compound, the activists of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) expressed their agitation and demanded strict action against the parking system of hospital.

Alleging forged and illicit arrangement of paid-parking in MB Hospital compound, the activists of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) expressed their agitation and demanded strict action against the parking system of hospital.

The situation was controlled after the intervention of police and hospital authorities.

Jinendra Shastri, President of BJYM, reached the M.B. Hospital along with the large number of party activists and started protesting against the alleged illegal activities of the parking tender holder and his staff.

Shastri alleged that parking staff are always bullying the common people, cases of physical and verbal abuses were also reported many a times with the attendants of the patients and sometimes even with the patients including women.

Shastri said that “they take money for parking without any rule and sometimes they charge ten to twenty times more for parking vehicles from the people visiting the hospital”.

The situation turned tensed at the office of Dr. D.P. Singh (Superintendent, M.B. Hospital) as there were heated arguments between the parking contractor and BJYM workers, and also with C.I. Hathipole. The workers of BJYM alleged that police is helping the accused to escape from the scene and they shouted slogans against the police.

D.P. Singh said that “we had already suspended the tender but the tender holder has brought an interim stay order from the court.”

Some of the Demands of the activists

1. Dr. D.P. Singh must solve the alleged problems within 48 hours.

2. 5X3 ft. display board must be placed with pay list and number of the police officials marked on it.

3. Parking staff must not come on duty in a drunken state.

4. Patients and their attendants should be treated well.

Dr. D.P. Singh assured the BJYM workers for the proper action, DYSP (West) Dayanad Saran, C.I. Goverdhan Lal, Hathipole, C.I. Satish Meena, Bhopalpura were present at the scene and heavy police force was deployed to control the situation.
