Black out strikes back, 20 states under power cut

States affected by the failure include Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, J&K, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal, U.P, Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand etc.
Approximately 300 electric trains come to halt including Shatabadi and Rajdhani. 29 generators were deployed to continue work at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Press Trust of India tweet that situation will be restored in one hour, the tweet was posted at 2:49 pm while other media reported that it will take at least 6-8 hours to make the situation normal.
As per R K Nayak, Chairman Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, the problem is difficult to be located as this is a complex network and expected the glitch to be plugged by night.
In some parts of the Udaipur, lights were back by 4pm but most of the city areas are still without power.
This is the second grid failure in past three days; the current one being considered as one of the biggest power trips ever in the country.
Over drawing of power by certain regions is supposed to be the cause of grid failure.
