Regular blood donors of Udaipur city have expressed dissatisfaction over the working of blood banks. They served a notice to blood bank in this matter.

Sources claim that blood bank does not function properly at the time of need of blood. Some or the other irregularity has come forward in the working system of blood banks. Blood donors of the city have demanded that blood be made available immediately at the time of need. They also said that the donors move a step ahead in organising blood donation camps to provide blood to the blood banks. In spite of this, blood banks do not take immediate action at the time of emergency. They wanted to know the reason behind blood not being available in the blood bank despite so many donors.

Praveen Ratalia, Mustafa Sheikh, Rohit Joshi, Jitendra Singh Rathore, Gaurav Tiwari, Naushad Diwan and a few others were present on this occasion.These donors demanded that private blood banks must be closed with immediate effect. There should be no privatisation of actions of social causes. All blood banks must be registered online. There was an intense demand of keeping the blood transfusion activity free of cost. They also said that private hospitals refuse to take blood from other blood banks, this must be checked and stopped with immediate effect.
