With tourists flocking to Udaipur during Deepawali vacation, hundreds of them take boats to visit Nehru Garden every day.
A tourist, on anonymity, said, “The boat handler asked all passengers to wear jacket but just as a formality. There was no force, if you did not want to wear.”
This year, on Oct 7th, RTO had released strict rules for boat owners and instructed them to keep their safety gears clean and in good condition and warned that the boating license will be cancelled if any passenger is seen boating without wearing life jackets.
