Boating agencies have accused Municipal Corporation for giving boating tenders to people of their choice. Tourist season is almost over, but boating tenders for Lake Pichola have not yet been finalised.

Municipal Corporation has been accused of being partial while allotting tenders for boating in the lake. It has been more than 5 months now but Corporation officials have adopted a lazy attitude over boating tenders. Reportedly, only 2 companies filled the boating tenders but Municipal Corporation is not interested in finalising them.

MM travels had filled in a tender for boating, but as per this agency Municipal Corporation is trying to hand over boating tender to some third party who cannot even fulfil the terms and conditions before the technical bid. Corporation is taking its own time in finalising the tender which will result in a loss since the tourist season is close to being over.

As stated by Yash amusement, another boating agency that filled in the tender, Municipal Corporation is not paying attention to their file though the company has fulfilled all conditions along with ESI registration and PF required for the work. Tourist season is getting over but Municipal Corporation’s laziness over this is a matter of concern for the boating agencies that have been operating since long.

As per Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, both MM Travels and Yash amusement are right in their concern but administration wants that more companies must come forward for the tenders. He also said that if both these agencies fulfil all conditions, Corporation will make sure to declare the results soon.
