The agitating workers of BSNL under the banner of BSNL Unions and Association laid a protest march to collectorate, handed over a memorandum in the name of Prime Minister of India to District Collector Vikas Bhale and appealed to get justice for their ignored demands.

The letter subjected: Immediately end Illegitimate deputation of non-optee ITS in BSNL/MTNL to protect the viability of Government’s strategic telecom companies, BSNL & MTNL, which are fast sinking.

The letter demanded to take immediate steps to end the decade old exploitation and discrimination of recruited employees by taking them back to DOT or immediately repatriating unabsorbed ITS to DOT and put an end to the existing dangerous duality.

Dinesh Tarwadi, Vice President of the State Schedule Caste Commission also met the protesting group of BSNL and assured them to take the matter to higher levels. Collector, Vikas Bhale took the memorandum and also promised to take productive steps.
