An old woman and a couple were injured by a bull at Mukherjee Chowk on Thursday evening. Public is agitated that Municipal Corporation is completely negligible towards stray animals. Every now and then, a number of people are attacked and injured by these stray animals…directly or indirectly. A number of tourists have been injured by bulls in the city’s most happening tourist areas of Jagdish Chowk and Clock Tower in the recent past.

On Thursday evening, Suresh Joshi and his wife Shanta Joshi were on their way back home from Mukherjee Chowk after buying vegetables. This was around 5:30 p.m. when a bull came running from behind and in no time the couple was pushed down on the ground by its blow. A little ahead, an old lady also became a victim of this bull. The old lady succumbed to tooth injury and a lot of bleeding whereas the Joshi couple had wounds on their limbs and the lady also suffered a sprain. Public beat the bull with sticks but the bull moved ahead.

Suresh Joshi informed that he went to Municipal Corporation to lodge a complaint but there was no one to attend to him there. As per public, the area of Mukherjee Chowk stays crowded because of vegetable market and the stray animals cause a lot of nuisance but administration does not pay heed to this.
