The train movement between Delhi-Udaipur remained disrupted on Sunday as well due to Gujjars’ protest for demand of 5% reservation in government jobs, within the legal limit of 50%.
The agitation resulted in cancellation of Ananya Express that traverses to Kolkata, 6 hours before the scheduled time. Due to this, the passengers of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal remained highly affected.
On the other hand, Mewar Express from Delhi Nizamuddin didn’t leave for Udaipur even for the second day. Also, the train will not function on 25th May as well. This inconvenience led the travelers to book their tickets in Chetak Express that runs from Sarai Rohilla, Delhi to Udaipur.
The Chetak Express running from Udaipur to Delhi on Sunday had no vacant seats in AC coach, as well as the sleeper was full. A waiting list of 180 was witnessed for the same on Sunday.
