Chain snatching doesn’t seem to be ending in the city. Another chain snatching incident happened in Bhuwana a few days back.

It has been reported that police is not taking action against the snatchers though CCTV footage has been produced. As per reports, Hanja Devi w/o Lehru Lal Suthar resident of Tulsi Nagar Bhuwana was taking a stroll in the evening outside her house. It was around 5:30 p.m. when 2 masked men came on a bike and made an attempt to snatch the mangalsutra from the lady’s neck. In the process of tug and pull while the lady tried to pull it back, the managalsutra broke. The culprits could take away just half of the jewellery piece. The mangalsutra weighed around 5 tolas.

Family of the lady filed a complaint in the nearby police station but no action has been taken till now. As per the family, they even gave CCTV footage of the incident but the police station refused to register their case. It has been 5 days since the incident but police seems to be sleeping over it.

The lady’s son Shyamlal,President of BJP Youth Forum Bhuwana, said that chain snatchers are constantly active in colonies behind Celebration Mall. He complained that police is not taking action in spite of seeing the CCTV footage in his mother’s case.
