Communist party demands to remove B.P.L., A.P.L. System

In an open letter to the Prime Minister of India via District Collector Udaipur, Communist Party (Marxist) District Committee demanded that System of BPL and APL must be removed and Universal Public Distribution System should be adopted.

They have also added that Food Security Law must be established as soon as possible.

Communist Party has launched a mass countrywide movement with their own methodical reasons that BPL and APL system must be abolished and every family must receive 35 kg of food grains at the lowest price of Rs 2/- per Kg.

They have also quoted the Prime Minister’s statement that “Malnutrition is a National Shame”.

The Communist party strongly demands that the Report of Swaminathan Committee should be implemented.

B.L. Singhvi, Secretary, Communist party (Marxist), District Udaipur and Meghraj Tawad, Secretary Udaipur District Communist party of India with a large number of party workers protested in front of the District Headquarters and gave the memorandum to the District Collector.
