Concern over increased blackness & reduced oxygen level in Lakes
With the rise in temperature in Udaipur, the level of carbonic materials getting mixed in water bodies is relatively increasing too. Due to this, the color of lakes is turning black and is reducing the amount of oxygen in the bodies.

Jheel Mitra Sansthan, Jheel Sanrakshan Samiti and Dr. Mohan Singh Mehta Memorial Trust held a discussion in which Anil Mehta, Tejshanker Paliwal and Nand Kishore Sharma made an appeal to all people to refrain throwing waste in water and asked administration to take actions against the violators.
During the shramdaan organized on Sunday at Pichola Lake at Chandpol, heaps of household waste, water weed, plastic and polythene bags were extracted from the water.
Despite of incessant efforts by few individuals who are vigorously cleaning the water bodies, the level of garbage put into the water bodies is not reducing. As the temperature soars, the condition might get worse in the coming days.
UT appeals all Udaipurites as well as tourists to stop themselves as well as others to throw garbage in the lakes and instead dispose off in proper dustbins.
