Water center Ratan Jal Mandir at Delhi Gate has become really troublesome for 2 wheeler riders. This water centre is right next to Police control room at Delhi Gate. This police control room is central control point for Udaipur city.

Ratan Jal Mandir established to quench the thirst of public has posed to be a troublemaker for 2 wheeler riders. Even pedestrians find it difficult to walk on this side of the road as water flows out of the “pyau” and collects on the pot holes on this road. The road has become slippery and riders cannot spot that the holes are covered with water. Slime collected on the road has been the reason for many two-wheelers skidding on the turns of this part of road.

Police force has found a weird way of keeping this small part covered. Instead of having the road repaired or blocking the water from running on to the road, they have started keeping barricades on the road. This is narrowing down the road to a great extent. The slip line meant for vehicles to pass on to the left side of the road is blocked and two-wheelers slip and fall in an attempt to use the slip line.

Blocking the watery road by means of objects is not the solution to this problem. Steps need to be taken to stop out flow from the water centre else this is more likely to cause severe injuries to people specifically during heavy traffic time.
