“Don’t pollute Lakes” appeal lake conservators

Since the moderate rainfall of this season filled every lakes, ponds and water bodies of the city, a large mass of water hyacinth (jalkumbhi)and water plants gathered at Rangsagar which was pulled out by the volunteers of Jheel Hiteshi Nagrik Manch, a social group dedicated to keep the lakes clean.

Since the moderate rainfall of this season filled every lakes, ponds and water bodies of the city, a large mass of water hyacinth (Jalkumbhi)and water plants gathered at Rangsagar, which was pulled out by the volunteers of Jheel Hiteshi Nagrik Manch, a social group dedicated to keep the lakes clean.

 During their weekly cleaning task, the members took out water hyacinth and other junk items found in the lake. Haji Sardar Mohammad, founder of the organization informed that because the water is overflowing and new water is coming, the lakes are getting cleaned.

The members appealed citizens to avoid throwing garbage in the lakes and also requested administration to install CCTV cameras for keeping eye on people who pollute lakes.

With Haji Sardar Mohammad other volunteers including Kamlesh Purohit, Manish Golcha, Sohanlal Kalyana, Advocate Mahesh Kasara, Ashfaq Khan, Zulfikar Sheikh, Kishan Gehlot, Badrilal, Prakash Parihar Bhanvarlal Sharma, Haji Noor Mohammad, Raees Mohammad, Anwar Sheikh and Jabbar Khan took part in the lake cleaning task.
