In order to express their dissatisfaction over several issues related to labor, wages, work benefit and regulations, a large rally consisted of several employees association of Small Industries, Aganwadi and Midday meal Cooks protested in a form of a large gathering today.

The protesters mostly, workers of Harmony Plastic Industries handed over memorandums to divisional commissioner and district collector.

According to memorandum, workers of Nai based Harmony Plastic Industries who are on strike from last 71 days over various problems including minimum wage, PF reduction and other regulations which are not followed by the company.

Association of employees who work as a cook in Midday Meal schools and tribal centers demanded to get salary hike and also demanded to get the status of government employees.

Number of Aganwadi workers also took part in the protest rally to point up their concerns on number of government run projects, status of government employees, increment in salary and work norms.

Rally passed through city’s main circles, which stopped at collectorate and then ended at Divisional Commissioner’s office near Mohta Park.
