A dead female foetus was recovered on Sunday under a bridge located on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad National Highway at Chadobara Falan, near Kaya. The foetus was found covered with bandages.

Shambhu Singh of the nearest village informed the Sarpanch of the village and other villagers after finding the female fetus. Goverdhan Vilas Police station was informed and an investigation has started. The Police is speculating the foetus might have been defenestrated from a car in the night.

The foetus has been sent to the mortuary. Police has stated the situation will be clear only after the postmortem.

Increasing incidents like these are shameful if not disturbing. It hasn’t been very long since a dead foetus was found marred by stray dogs at the end of last February. Even before which, these incidents have been recorded with worrying frequency.
