Fee hike has become a major issue. Students of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU) have been demanding a reduction in the fees but since administration did not take any action, 3 of the female students went on a hunger strike on Thursday.

Dimple Bhavsar, Tanisha Padiyar and Puja Dangi declared an indefinite hunger strike. As informed by Dimple, students are demanding that fees be reduced by 30 percent for female students. Since the fee structure is too high, the financially weak students are deprived of good education. Until and unless the fee structure is reduced, the strike will not be called off. Prior to this, the students had approached the Vice Chancellor but they did not get any satisfactory response. The 3 students stayed outside the administrative building until late night but no one from the University paid attention to their strike. Now police patrol has been appointed for the purpose of safety of the students on strike.
