The indefinite hunger strike of students continued even on Sunday demanding increase of 100 seats per faculty. Chatra Sangarsh Samiti (CSS) gave memorandum addressing to the Chief Minister to look upon the matter; University Administration is silent on solving admission problem of rejected students.

On the second day of hunger strike initiated by CSS at Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU) campus, students blame that no authority has come forward to solve the problem; Vice Chancellor indicates strike as an Election Stunt for gaining publicity and popularity among students.

According to Deepak Sharma, CSS President, requirements were discussed with university administration since a long time, but no satisfactory action was taken on the prevailing problem. The students association has announced that they will continue this strike till their demands are fulfilled.

Dilip Sharma, Ex-President, MLSU, pointed out some more issues which are taken for granted by university management. These include delay in declaration of results of various exams held in previous sessions so that students can smoothly apply in higher studies; secondly, to award bonus marks to students for those subjects where question paper was inappropriate.

Surya Prakash Suhalka, General Secretary, CSS, informed that on one hand Vice Chancellor claims that university is not having enough infrastructures, while on the other hand the administration is planning to rent existing building to some private institutions which raises a big question mark on management of university.

Sources informed that MLSU has given a sum of Rs. 5 Crores for Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon to add more facilities, whereas Prof. I.V. Trivedi in his talk with local media conveyed that university does not have proper infrastructure, including Classrooms, Labs, Library and Teaching Staff.
