IFWJ presents memorandum to Governor for safety of Journalists

After the heinous death of journalist Jagendra Singh, the members of Indian Federation of Working Journalists, representatives and other delegates organized a mourning service in his memory.

 

After the heinous death of journalist Jagendra Singh, the members of Indian Federation of Working Journalists, representatives and other delegates organized a mourning service in his memory.

Besides that, the members collectively presented a memorandum appealing the Governor Kalyan Singh to appoint a private agency for the investigation of the matter.

Journalism is the fourth estate of democratic India however, it is being tormented. With instances like these, the real picture of journalism is projected worldwide and a negative image is created.

The memorandum also asked the governor to take provisions to safeguard the journalists of India and make stringent laws for their safety.
