Collector Bishnu Charan Mallick has expressed his concern over illegal parking on the road outside Mohta Park. He has given instructions for necessary action to be taken at the earliest.

A meeting took place on Friday with District Transport Management Committee. In this meeting, Collector Bishnu Charan Mallick spoke about blind spots and dark spots in villages and illegal parking in the city. He expressed concern on the fact that no one is bothered about illegal parking outside Mohta Park. He got agitated that the road is being blocked by parked vehicles but none of the officers have taken action against this.

Illegal parking that covers the road and disturbs the traffic regulation is the reason behind many accidents. Even Durga Nursery road is facing the same parking issue. Collector Mallick has given orders for strict action against illegal parking and encroachments. He has also given directions for creating proper traffic systems. Dark spots and blind spots on the roads must be marked well to avoid accidents. Medical mobile units and regular patrolling is needed on highways, too.

Strictness of Collector was well displayed in the meeting when senior offices were missing in the meeting earlier. He asked the other officers present to return to their offices and demanded that responsible and senior officers must attend the meeting to discuss the important issues. After this, officers of the concerned department attended the meeting. ADM City Subhash Chandra Sharma, Chief Manager State Transport Udaipur Depot Mahesh Upadhyaya and a few other officers from the concerning departments were also present in the meeting.
