Insurance company to pay for the damaged mobile
Court orders an insurance company to pay the cost of mobile and other charges to the appellant.
An insurance company has been ordered by the court to pay the cost of mobile instrument, mental agony and court fees to the appellant.
Anil Mehta resident of Dhabhai ji ki bari bought a Samsung mobile instrument worth 56 thousand rupees from Fusion Electro Shop in Shakti Nagar. The instrument was insured by Leehan Retails Pvt. Ltd. of Pune. The instrument was purchased on 15th August 2016. Insurance premium of 2400 rupees was deposited by Anil Mehta. After about 10 months, the instrument fell from his pocket and got damaged. This was during the insurance period of the instrument.
The insurance company Leehan Retails Pvt. Ltd. refused to give any kind of claim to the appellant. Permanent Lok Adalat President K B Katta and members Sushil Kothari and Brajendra Seth ordered the insurance company to pay 56 thousand towards the cost of mobile, 5 thousand towards mental agony and 3 thousand towards court fees to appellant Mehta within a period of two months.
