In a meeting held at Collector’s office earlier this evening, Sudhansh Panth, Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Department of Mines & Petroleum, ordered officials to properly investigate the cases of illegal mining and to take effective actions against the culprits, so as to put a check on such activities.

Panth instructed to take necessary action against illegal transportation of mined products with the combined help of police, forest and transport departments.

He also emphasized on the issue of over-loaded transport vehicles and stressed that an operation must be carried out against them by taking spontaneous actions, so that ever increasing road accidents could be minimised.

District Collector Vikas Bhale presented a detailed report on cases of Forest Lease. He informed that in some cases, mineral extraction is being carried out by the private companies on leased Forest Land, resulting in its degradation.
