Is University Environment Day a Flop Show?

Many of the students and professors were seen riding their motorbikes and cars comfortably in MLSU campus, while acting literally unknown about the regulations implied by University administration to observe month’s second Saturday as The Environment Day, thus banning all motor vehicles in MLSU.

The program which was initiated by Professor I. V. Trivedi, Vice-Chancellor, MLSU two years back, send a progressive message to students, fraternities and environment enthusiasts is now going into pit’s hole.

Expressing his distress over the reluctant behaviors of students and professors he said, “I have sent our officials to note down the plate numbers of the cars and two wheelers of the employees and students who have come in the premises while they are aware of vehicles being prohibited in MLSU during second Saturday of every month.

He further added, “Notice of strict warning will be issued to the offenders.”

When asked one of the university students travelling in a car, he stated that “We can pass through the security personnel if they know us, some people also show influence.”

One of the college’s dean also came in car, but was not able to give any satisfactory reply when UT correspondent posed the question.
