Members of All India Kisan Sabha today protested in front of the District Headquarters and presented a memorandum to the District Collector Vikas Bhale to regularize the land possessed by the tribals and to control the threat of land Mafias.

Prithviraj Dhabai, Secretary of the Kisaan Sabha told that in village Palnakhurd, Tehsil Mavli, District Udaipur, 13 Bighas of land on registration number 1635 has been possessed by Bhil tribe and these people are residing there since long time.

Prithviraj said that the aforesaid land which is occupied by deprived tribal is barren and the productive land has already been occupied by the rich and wealthy.

Dhabai also alleged that some influential persons, including the husband of the village Sarpanch allegedly want to capture this land by illegal means, because in recent years this land gained value due to nearby industrial developments.

Concluding his agenda, Dhabai said we have demanded the collector to look into the matter and provide justice to the affected poor people.
