Liquor smugglers attacked a Gujarat based driver as a result of which he succumbed to fractures. Ratan, Rahul and Pushkar residents of Eklingpura smuggle liquor to Gujarat. The victim driver Harish  resident of Bhavnagar in Gujarat used to work as their driver but later he gave up the job. The 3 accused in this case needed a driver to deliver liquor in Gujarat and they approached Harish. Harish refused to carry out this task. The 3 men got irritated and attacked the driver.

Beaten black and blue with 3 fractures and face full of blade cuts, Harish somehow managed to escape and reached Hiran Magri police station. Case of abduction and attempt to murder has been registered against Ratan Dangi, Pushkar Dangi and Rahul. As per Harish’s report, he took a bus from from Salumber to Dakan Kotda. He got down at 6 a.m. and found these 3 culprits already waiting for him. They abducted him and took him to a house in Kaladwas where they mercilessly beat him with belt and stick. They even used blade a number of times on his face and body. Harish somehow managed to escape at night and rushed to the police station and reported the incident. He even informed police that these 3 men abduct people every now and then and demand ransom. Harish has succumbed to fractures in jaw, hands and ribs.

Police is still investigating the case. The culprits are yet to be arrested.
